NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
  • After losing their first game to Pittsburg State, the Wolves quickly gathered themselves and won their next three games before losing to Jamestown on Wednesday
  • Now 3-2 (0-1 NSIC), the Wolves have scored 303 points this season, outscoring their opponents 303-302 (60.6-60.4 points per game)
  • The Wolves average 60.6 points, 42.4 rebounds and 10.8 assists per game
  • Northern holds a field goal percentage of 39.6% and has made 116 shots this season
  • Though solid from the field, the Wolves have struggled hitting deep shots, going 18-78 (23.1%) from range and free throws, shooting 55.8% from the charity stripe
  • As a team, NSU has outrebounded their opponents 212-177 and averages 42.4 rebounds per game
  • Lily Klein (6.8 rebounds per game), Telia Graham (6.6 rebounds per game) and Izzy Moore (6.2 rebounds per game) all average over six boards a game

  • Off the bench, Graham has been a contributor to Northern State's dominant rebounding game, tallying 6.6 boards a game in under 18 minutes of action per game while also recording five steals in five games
 
SIOUX FALLS STORYLINES
  • The Cougars are 4-2 (1-0 NSIC) and are on a four-game winning streak after dropping their first two games against Northwest Missouri State and Fort Hays State
  • Since then, USF has outscored their opponents 307-256 in their last four games, recording a season high of 92 points against SMSU
  • Sioux Falls averages 74.3 points, 38.5 rebounds and 14.2 assists per game while shooting 45.8% from the floor, 36% from deep and 70.4% from the line
  • Leading the team is Anna Vaaler, who is averaging 23 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals a game
  • The sophomore currently leads the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in three-point percentage (53.1%) and defensive rebounds a game with an 8.8 average

  • Though a dominant scorer, Brown has made her impact as a facilitator, averaging a team high of 6.3 assists per game

  • The Mustangs are 2-3 (0-1 NSIC) and are on a two-game losing streak, dropping games to Washburn 63-59 and Sioux Falls 92-80
  • SMSU has been outscored by their opponents 338-333 this season and averages 66.6 points per contest
  • As a team, the Mustangs shoot 37.8% from the field, 31.5% from three-point land and 66.7% from the line
  • From long range, Southwest Minnesota State has outshot their opponents 143-69
