FAN PRIMER | WOLVES TO HOST JIMMIES FOR HOME OPENER

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University men's and women's basketball doubleheader today against the University of Jamestown has been postponed to Wednesday, November 26 due to current weather conditions and the NSU campus closure announcement.
 
Game times will remain the same with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m. for the women and 7:30 p.m. for the men from Wachs Arena. All tickets dated for November 25 will be honored at the gate.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
  • The Wolves sit at 3-1 this season, with their only loss of the season coming by way of Pittsburg State, 72-70
  • Since their loss, the Wolves are 3-0 with wins over Nebraska Kearney (65-60), Black Hills State (56-54) and South Dakota Mines (64-51)
  • This season, NSU has outscored their opponents 255-237 and shot 40.8% from the field, 26.2% from deep and 55.1% from the line
  • Northern State has collected more rebounds (175-141) and assists (44-36) than their opponents
  • Leading the pack is senior guard Izzy Moore, who is averaging 16.3 points, six rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game
  • Moore also leads the team in made field goals (26), field goals attempted (52), and is tied for second in field goal percentage at 50%
  • Morgan Fiedler averages 10.8 points per game (second-most on the team), four rebounds and 3.5 assists per game, while two other Wolves (Taylor Tool and Megan Counts) average over eight points per outing
  • Redshirt freshman Lily Klein leads rebounds with 29 and is the only Wolf to record a double-double this season (ten points and ten rebounds against Nebraska Kearney)
  • Through four games, eight Wolves have recorded at least one steal, while five players have tallied a block
  • Tool leads the team in made deep balls with four this season and is tied for the best 3-point percentage on the team at 50%
 
JAMESTOWN STORYLINES
  • The Jimmies are an even 2-2 in the 2025-26 season with losses to Montana State Billings (72-56) and Simon Fraser (55-45)
  • As a team, UJ shoots 39.3% from the field, 22.1% from beyond the arc and 69.4% from the charity stripe
  • Freshman Allie Berns has been an all-around threat for the Jimmies, averaging 18 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game (leads the team in points and blocks)
  • In the paint, Jessika Lofstrom and Samantha Paulsen average six and five rebounds per game, respectively, while Haidyn Crockett leads the team in assists with 10 through four games
  • Crockett has tallied 20% of Jamestown's assists, and as a team, their 50 assists through four games is the 11th best in the NSIC
  • The Jimmies have amounted to 86 turnovers (21.5 per game), which is the fourth most in the conference
  • In the last two games, UJ has shot 32.3% from the field and 20.4% from deep.
  • In his seventh season with the Jimmies, Thad Sankey has collected 125 wins with the program
