HOW IT HAPPENED FOR WESTALL
- No. 15 Westall went 4-2 on the day en route to his fifth place finish, out-scoring his opponents 36-5 in his match victories
- The redshirt freshman started the day with a loss, then won his next four duals; topping teammate Travis Smith (Dec 2-0), Alex Munoz of Nebraska-Kearney (Dec 8-3), Donn Greer of CSU-Pueblo (TF 16-0), and Sam Bruss of UMary (Maj 10-2)
- Westall fell to Rushton of Division I opponent Rushton of Northern Colorado before reaching his match limit of the day and taking fifth
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE FULL SQUAD
- Calder Sheehan went 1-2 at 149-pounds, posting a 16-3 major decision victory over Bryant Avila of Vanguard and a pair of close decision losses
- Clay Gates took on the 133-pound bracket, going 2-2 with a pair of victories over Dante Rigal of Briar Cliff (Fall 5:45) and Jett Schwartz of Fort Hays State (Fall 3:40)
- Damen Pape went 2-2 as well in the 174-pound bracket with wins over Sam Rock of Iowa Western (Dec 11-6) and Carlie Petit of Augustana (Dec 9-5)
- Izaak Hunsley opened his day with a 12-2 major decision win over Job Lee of Nebraska Kearney before a pair of decision losses in the 165-pound bracket
- Karstyn Lhotak posted a winning record at 141-pounds, going 3-2 with wins over Samuel Eveland of New Mexico Highlands (TF 16-0), Parker Janssen of South Dakota State (Dec 6-2), and Issac Chavarria of Western Colorado (Fall 5:32)
- Nathan Schauer went 1-2 in the 285-pound bracket with a win over Riah Ostrander of Fort Hays State (Dec 4-2)
- Ryan Hirschkorn kicked off his day with a 12-6 decision win over Gunner Henery of Wyoming, followed by a pair of decision losses at 197-pounds
- No. 14 Sloan Johannsen went 2-2 overall with a pair of wins over Jovanni Evangelista of Vanguard (TF 15-0) and Nico Tocci of Air Force (Dec 6-3); his two losses came by a difference of one and two points
- Teagan Block took on the 133-pound bracket and went 1-2 with a victory over Jarrod Gilliam of Briar Cliff in an 18-3 technical fall
- Tyson Lien opened his day with a victory by fall over Marco Christinsen of Nebraska at 6:06 in the match; he went 1-2 overall on the day
