Manheim, Pa. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association released their second NCAA Division II national rankings of the season today. Northern State University has four individually ranked competitors and the team is receiving votes in the top-25 poll. In addition, the Northern Sun holds the most ranked wrestlers by conference in the nation.
Individually ranked guys for the Wolves include No. 14
Sloan Johannsen (125), No. 12
Krayle Stormer (141), No. 10
Rudy Lopez (149), and No. 15
Brady Westall (184).
Johannsen holds a 10-1 record on the year with a first place finish at the Jimmie Open and fourth place finish at the DWU Open.
Stormer is 10-1 this season, recording a third place finish at the Jimmie Open and first place finish at the DWU Open.
Lopez tallied his first competition as a Wolf at the DWU Open, going 4-0 overall.
Westall has an 8-0 record this season, winning the 184-pound titles at both the Jimmie Open and DWU Open.
The Wolves continue preseason action this Saturday at the Nebraska Kearney Younes Hospitality Open.
