Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State's Wyatt Block (football) and Abby Schauer (volleyball) are this week's South Dakota Army National Guard Athletes of the Week following their performances last weekend.
Block recorded his sixth 100-yard game of the season in the Wolves win over Jamestown. He rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns with a 70-yard long. The redshirt senior added 26 yards receiving for 216 yards of total offense. The Minnesota native averaged 10.0 yards per carry in the win. Block tied the game and gave NSU the lead on his first two scores of the afternoon.
Schauer led Northern State and the NSIC averaging 6.13 digs per set in the final weekend of the regular season. She tallied 49 total digs against Augustana and Southwest Minnesota State. The senior added two assists and two aces. The South Dakota native recorded a weekend high 26 digs against the Wildcats, averaging 6.5 per set.
