WOLVES EARN TWO TOP FINISHES IN DAY ONE OF MARAUDERS INVITE

BISMARCK, N.D. – Northern State sits in fourth with 361.5 points through the first day of the Marauders Invite. Jacie Flockhart boasted two first-place finishes, both in the 1-meter dive.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • In the first event for the 1-meter dive, Flockhart tallied a 230.75, her highest of the evening, to secure a first-place finish
  • Flockhart then followed up with a 166.35 for her second gold of the evening
  • In the 50-yard backstroke, Mazie Finch clocked a 29.26 swim for fourth
  • Sydney Rogers (30.54 seconds) took eighth, and Riley Vraniak (31.36 seconds) took ninth in the same event
  • Ella Wanschura tied a swimmer from USF in the 50-yard backstroke for fifth with a time of 32.85, while Emma Beavers followed in eighth at 33.54 seconds
  • NSU's 400-yard freestyle relay team consisting of Maya Hentges, Wanschura, Emma Moore and Rogers clocked a 3:53.71 for fifth, and Finch, Emma Machado, Sidney Masgras and Laila Gordillo took seventh (3:56.72)
  • In the 200-yard breaststroke, Wanschura took sixth with a time of 2:37.42, and Marie Loest took seventh at 2:42.14
  • Rogers tallied a 2:21.38 finish in the 200-yard backstroke for sixth, while Finch followed behind in eighth at 2:22.58
  • Finch, Beavers, Moore and Hentges took seventh (1:57.70) in the 200-yard medley relay, with Rogers, Wanschura, Masgras and Gordillo in eighth (1:59.42)
  • Marie Loest took eighth in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:30.76
