Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State's Daniel Britt (football) and Jacie Flockhart (swimming) are this week's South Dakota Army National Guard Athletes of the Week following their performances last weekend.
Britt led Northern State with 342 yards of total offense and three touchdowns in their overtime win over MSU Moorhead. He threw for a season high 210 yards with two touchdowns, including a 36-yard long. The senior completed 12-of-19 attempts, averaging 17.5 yards per completion. The Nevada native recorded his first 100-yard rushing game of the season with 132 total yards and a touchdown. Britt averaged 6.3 yards per carry with an 18-yard long.
Flockhart opened her weekend on Friday with a 1-meter diving win, recording a score of 174.60. The junior returned for day two with a win in the 1-meter (11-dive) with a score of 257.85. The season best on day two, sealed Flockhart's qualification for the NCAA Championships. She notched the 6-dive mark of 230.75 at the Marauder Open prior to securing the 11-dive mark on Saturday.
