St. Cloud, Minn – The No. 22 Northern State University volleyball team lost a close one on the road Friday against NO. 11 St. Cloud State. This was the Wolves' first loss in the month of October, snapping an eight-game win streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern State comes up short in a five-set match against the Huskies
- The Huskies won with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 25-17, 22-25, and 15-12
- The Wolves scored 70 points and had 60 kills, 58 assists, 77 digs, and 23 errors, hitting .227 as a team
- The Wolves defense forced 25 errors and held the Huskies to a .254 attack percentage, but gave up nine aces
- Natalia Szybinska led the Wolves on offense with 18 kills, followed by Abby Brooks with 13 kills
- Brooks had a team high six blocks
- Cara Cyr had seven kills on a .357 attack percentage and a block
- Ava Nilsson had 53 of the team's 58 assists; she also had 15 digs and three blocks
- Abby Schauer led the team on defense with 30 digs, adding three blocks as well
