• The Aberdeen Youth Wrestling Club and Ipswich will face off in a youth dual at 5 p.m. prior to the Wolves versus the Cougars

 

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• Northern State returns to action this season with a 2-0 dual record and 1-0 mark in the NSIC following a win over MSU Moorhead
• The Wolves are currently receiving votes in the most recent NWCA National Poll
• Braydon Mogle jumped into the poll for the first time this season and sits at No. 11 in the 141-pound class, while Wyatt Turnquist moved up to No. 6 at 149-pounds
• NSU last took the mat at the annual Midwest Classic hosted in Indianapolis
• Northern finished 21^st as a team with 47.0 points, placing two in their respective weights; Mogle took eighth, while Turnquist placed fourth

 

SIOUX FALLS STORYLINES

• The Cougars head into the new year with a 3-6 record overall and 0-3 mark in the Northern Sun
• In December they fell to No. 3 Parkside, No. 1 St. Cloud State, and (RV) Minnesota State
• Beau Klingensmith is ranked eighth at 133-pounds for the Cougars and went 3-0 last weekend at the Jack Handcock Duals in Golden, Colorado
• USF is led by Northern State alum Matt Meuleners in his second season at the helm
