Aberdeen, S.D. – The fall 2024 semester wrapped up prior to the new year with Northern State University student-athletes marking their 33rd straight semester with cumulative grade point average above a 3.0. The department tallied a 3.30 cumulative mark and added a fall term GPA of 3.40.
"Our student-athletes continue to achieve at a high level at Northern State as we just completed our 33
rd consecutive semester above a 3.0 GPA," noted Director of Athletics
Nate Davis. "We are very proud of the streak but equally as proud of this current group of young people who prioritize their academics and continue to represent Northern State at the highest levels. It is always exciting when I get to talk about this achievement with our supporters and fan base and share with them how well our student-athletes are performing in the classroom."

The President's List honors full-time undergraduate students who have achieved a perfect 4.00 grade point average (GPA) for the semester. This distinction reflects a commitment to academic excellence and dedication to their studies.
The Dean's List recognizes full-time undergraduate students who have attained a GPA of 3.50 to 3.99 during the semester. This reflects their dedication and sustained effort in achieving high academic standards.
Undergraduate students earning a place on the Academic Recognition List have achieved a system honor point average of 3.50 or higher for the semester. Eligibility requires completion of at least 12 credit hours prior to the current semester at one or more Regental institutions. This honor demonstrates their sustained commitment to academic success.
