Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State's Jake Adams (football) and Keri Walker (volleyball) are this week's South Dakota Army National Guard Athletes of the Week following their performances last weekend.
 
Adams led the Northern State defense against Minot State with 20 tackles. The sophomore recorded eight solo stops and 12 assisted. He notched a team best 2.5 tackles for a loss of five yards. The Pulaski native sits first in the NSIC in total tackles, assisted tackles, and tackles per game following the weekend. He ranks second in the nation in total tackles and assisted tackles, as well as seven in the NCAA in tackles per game.
 
Walker paced the Northern State offense in four wins with 155 total assists, averaging 11.07 per set. She added 11 kills, averaging nearly one a set, and tallied 34 digs, seven aces, and four blocks. The graduate student recorded a season high and team leading 19 digs against Ohio Dominican. Finally, she sits third in the league in assists per set and total assists.
