Michael Chevalier (baseball) and
Kyra Knudtson (softball) are this week's South Dakota Army National Guard Athletes of the Week following their performances last weekend.
Chevalier tallied his second win of the season in the Wolves 4-1 victory over Sioux Falls. In 6.0 innings of work, he recorded five strikeouts and gave up just one earned run on five hits. The redshirt junior held the Cougars to a .227 batting average and lowered his season ERA by 1.21.
Knudtson led Northern State hitting .417 in the opening weekend of NSIC play against Augustana and Minnesota State. The sophomore tallied five hits, including one double. She notched a .500 slugging percentage and .462 on-base percentage. Knudtson added a fielding percentage of 1.000 with 24 putouts and one assist.
