Aberdeen, S.D. – Friday evening will be the final home dual of the 2023-24 season for the No. 18 Northern State University wrestling program. The Wolves will host (RV) Minot State at 7 p.m. from Wachs Arena with extra matches beginning at approximately 6:30 p.m. prior to the dual.

#18 NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• The Wolves enter the week with a 7-11 record overall and 2-4 mark in the Northern Sun
• Chase Bloomquist and Seth Brossard led the team last week against UMary and Parkside each going 2-0
• Brossard tallied two upset victories over No. 6 Brody Hemauer (MD 11-1), and No. 8 Max Bruss (Dec 12-5), earning him his second NSIC Wrestler of the Week award
• The Wolves are ranked 18th in the most recent NWCA Poll with Wyatt Turnquist ranked second at 149 pounds and Devin Bahr ranked fourth at 157 pounds
• NSU is led by Turnquist and Bahr with records of 21-4 and 14-5 respectively

 
(RV) MINOT STATE STORYLINES

• The Beavers enter the week with a 7-7 record overall and 3-4 mark in the Northern Sun and will face Dickinson State in non-conference action Tuesday evening
• Minot State is receiving votes in the most recent NWCA Poll with Brendan Barnes ranked eighth at 165-pounds and Jake Swirple ranked seventh at 285-pounds
• MiSU is led by head coach Evan Forde in his ninth season
