NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• The Wolves enter the week with a 1-0 dual record this season, following an early November win over Dakota Wesleyan
• Northern State continues to receive votes in the NWCA Top-25 Poll with Wyatt Turnquist ranked seventh at 149-pounds
• NSU was picked fifth in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll and will kickoff their league slate this week
• The Wolves kicked off the season with a handful of open tournaments, notching 22 podium finishes from Jamestown, DWU, and UNK
• Mason Fey holds the team's lone title at the Jimmie Open, while Sloan Johannsen took second at the Tiger Open and fourth at the Younes Hospitality Open

 

MSU MOORHEAD STORYLINES

• The Dragons head to Aberdeen with a 1-0 record this season, following a win over Northland Community & Technical College
• MSU Moorhead was picked ninth in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll, tied with Sioux Falls earning 15 points
• Isaiah Huus was tabbed as the team's wrestler to watch this season at 197-pounds
• Huus went 20-12 overall last season and 2-5 in the NSIC
• MSU Moorhead is led by head coach Kris Nelson in his 16^th season at the helm

• The Wolves are on a 4-match win streak against the Dragons, taking the 2023-24 match-up by a score of 31-6
