Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field teams swept South Dakota Mines on Friday and Saturday from Wachs Arena. The Wolves out-scored the Hardrockers by a combined 115 points in the 2-day dual competition. Northern tallied 22 event victories in the pair of dual wins.

HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
- Sean Juengst took second in the heptathlon with 4,328 points, recording marks of 7.16 in the 55m, 5.94m in the long jump, 10.69m in the shot put, 1.93m in the high jump, 9.29 in the 55m hurdles, 4.00m in the pole vault, and 2:58.48 in the 1000m
- Julian Scott won the 55m with a time of 6.52, followed by Ty Kadlec in second with a time of 6.66
- The 55m hurdles went to Joel Matehs with a time of 7.71 in first and Eli Radtke in second with a time of 7.83
- Kadlec went on to win the 200m with a time of 22.71, followed by Scott with a time of 22.90
- Seth Martens took home the top spot in the 400m with a time of 50.54, while Drew Salfrank came in second with a time of 51.15
- David VanVeen recorded the first collegiate win of his career in the mile, crossing the finish line in 4:28.91
- Dylan Schimke took second in the 800m with a time of 2:00.46
- Carter Moller kicked off the field events, winning the high jump with a mark of 1.90m
- Jayden Munroe and Treyson Schulz finished in first and second in the long jump with marks of 6.70m and 6.36m
- Eli Radtke and Sam Tremelling each cleared 4.88m in the pole vault, with Radtke taking the top spot via judge's decision; both cleared national provisional marks and sit top-13 in the country currently
- Ethan Barnett won the shot put, tossing 15.60m
- For the second straight week, Munroe won the triple jump with a mark of 13.99m from the Barnett Center
- Schulz took second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.93m
- The men's 4x400m relay of Matehs, Luke Campbell, Zach Terrio, and Schimke took second in the event with a time of 3:36.28
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
- Morgan Sheldon won the pentathlon with 3,239 points, recording marks of 8.71 in the 55m hurdles, 1.59m in the high jump, 10.81m in the shot put, 5.00m in the long jump, and 2:43.00 in the 800m
- Tayla Dobrenski took second with 2,920 points, notching marks of 8.95 in the 55m hurdles, 1.62m in the high jump, 9.62m in the shot put, 4.89m in the long jump, and 3:02.44 in the 800m
- Kyanna Collymore wont the 55m with a time of 7.47, while Elisabet Osk Jonsdottir took second in 7.68
- Collymore and Osk Jonsdottir went on to take first and second in the 200m with times of 26.63 and 27.23 respectively
- Anna Skachenko and Alli Jackson finished one-two in the 400m with times of 1:00.51 and 1:01.98
- Summer Carlson led the way in the 800m, winning the race with a time of 2:23.68
- Emaleigh Olesiak added another distance win in the mile with a time of 5:31.85
- Tayla Dobrenski and Emily Breske too first and second in the high jump with marks of 1.62m and 1.57m
- Addison Cumbow improved her heptathlon long jump mark, winning the individual event Saturday with a jump of 4.76m
- Kamryn Schwartz took second with a jump of 4.62m in the long jump
- Bekah Walz and Gracie Eisenbraun led the way in the pole vault with marks of 3.36m and 3.01m in first and second
- Grace Kuch added a second place finish in the shot put, throwing 11.50m
- Osk Jonsdottir and Schwartz took first and second in the triple jump with marks of 10.41m and 10.05m respectively
- The weight throw went to freshman Brooke Mushatt with a personal best 13.48m toss, followed by Andi Mehrer with her own personal best of 13.26m
- The 4x400m relay team of Skachenko, Jackson, Hunt, and Carlson won the race with a time of 4:15.85
