NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• Northern heads into the Midwest Classic following an NSIC opening win over MSU Moorhead last Thursday
• The Wolves defeated the Dragons 22-16 with wins by Tyson Lien (SV-1 4-1), Nathan Schauer (Fall 4:15), Braydon Mogle (Dec 9-2), Wyatt Turnquist (TF 18-2), and Griffin Lundeen (TF 18-3)
• Turnquist went on to lead the Wolves at the Dragon Open, winning the 149-pound weight class with a 4-0 record and four bonus point wins
• In addition, three other Wolves placed from Moorhead
• Northern has seen success from the Midwest Classic in years past with two placing in 2023-24 and 2021-22
