Britt, Thompson Named Army National Guard Athletes of the Week

Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State's Hanna Thompson (volleyball) and Daniel Britt (football) are this week's South Dakota Army National Guard Athletes of the Week following their performances last weekend. 

Thompson led Northern State with 40 kills in their 2-1 week. She averaged 4.0 kills per set with a .293 attack percentage. The senior added six digs, four blocks, and one service ace. The Victoria native hit a league play season high .481 against St. Cloud State with 15 kills. 

Britt recorded 206 yards of total offense in the Wolves 35-34 victory over CSP. He scored two rushing touchdowns and added one passing touchdown. The junior averaged 8.7 yards per completion and 10.7 yards per rush. He completed 15-of-28 passing attempts. Britt paced the Wolves with a 75 yard drive and passing touchdown at the end of the first half. The Las Vegas native anchored the game winning drive of 72 yards to close out the fourth. Both end of half drives lasted just 3:04.
