Austin, Texas – The 2023 Football Academic All-America® teams selected by the College Sports Communicators were released this morning with Northern State senior Dakota Larson honored.
 
Larson was named to the first team, marking the third Academic All-America® award of this career. The Arizona native is an environmental science major with a 3.80 GPA. Larson started all 11 games for the Wolves in 2023, setting the school records for career receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. He tallied 965 total yards and six touchdowns this season, averaging 87.7 yards per game and 14.9 yards per catch.
 
He recorded three 100-plus yard games, notching a season high 190 against Winona State. The senior wraps up his time as a Wolf holding school records for single game receptions (14 vs. Northern Michigan), career receiving yards (3,660), and career receiving touchdowns (31). He also ranks third all-time with 33 career touchdowns.
 
Larson is a 3-time NSIC All-Conference selection, including the 2018 NSIC Offensive Newcomer of the Year, 3-time Academic All-American®, and all-region recipient.
