The Northern State University men’s basketball team is headed to the 15th NCAA Tournament in program history, earning the second seed in the Central Region. Regional seeds were announced earlier this evening on the NCAA Selection Show.

Northern will face seventh seeded Emporia State in the opening round of the tournament hosted by Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Missouri. First round games kick off on Saturday, March 11, with tip-off versus the Hornets scheduled for 2:15 p.m. in Bearcat Arena. The Wolves continue their post-season run with a 24-6 record this season. Emporia State holds a 22-9 record this season and went 15-7 in the MIAA, finishing third in the league.

Tickets for the 2023 NCAA Division II Central Region Men’s Basketball Tournament event are general admission (with the exception of Section B) and are valid for both games during a single session. Bearcat Arena will be cleared between the afternoon and evening session on Saturday only. Each team will be allotted a minimum of 150 general admission tickets per session. 

When tickets go on sale Wednesday, March 8 at 8:00 a.m., Northern State fans are encouraged to use code 2023NSU when purchasing tickets online. To purchase tickets online fans should visit www.bearcatsports.com/tickets:

• Select “Get Tickets” under the desired date
• Select the desired seat option (ex. Reserved or General Admission) and update the quantity needed
• Click the “Have a passcode?” link, enter 2023NSU and click the Apply button
• Complete the purchase process

Ticket Prices (all tickets sold as single session):

• General Admission Single Session = $10
• Children 2 & Under = Free

Tickets for all games will be available for purchase online

• Session 1 and 2 tickets will go on sale online beginning Wednesday, March 8 at 8:00 a.m. 
• Session 3 tickets (Sunday, Semifinal games) will go on sale online on Saturday, March 11 at 11:00 p.m.
• Session 4 tickets (Tuesday, Championship game) will go on sale online Sunday, March 12 at 11:00 p.m.

Fans of advancing teams who are at Bearcat Arena will have the option to buy their tickets at the box office at the conclusion of their game. The box office and arena will be open 60 minutes prior to the start of the first game of each daily session.
