Tahlequah, Okla. – The Northern State University softball team closed out their week on the road with a 6-2 loss against Northeastern State. The Wolves tallied the most hits all weekend in the contest, notching seven total.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern scored their two runs on seven hits with two errors defensively
- Elly Smith kicked off the rally in the fifth with a single to centerfield and was punch ran for by Aubree Terris
- Emma Owens doubled to left two at-bats later, plating Terris for the Wolves first run of the game
- Eden Ford scored the following play on a single up the middle by Hannah Smith
- Lexi Chase stared in the circle for the Wolves, giving up five earned runs on nine hits in her fifth loss of the 2023 season
- Abby Rux entered in relief and held the RiverHawks to one run on four hits with four strikeouts in the final three innings
