Aberdeen, S.D. – The No. 11 Northern State University wrestling team travels to Brookings on Friday for a trio of South Dakota duals versus No. 15 Augustana, No. 12 South Dakota State, and Dakota Wesleyan. The SD Showcase kicks off at 5 p.m. with a rolling schedule through the three contests. Northern will face the institutions in the order listed above.

#11 NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• Northern tallied their first dual victory of the season last week, downing No. 25 Fort Hays State 35-6
• The Wolves then traveled to the Dakota Wesleyan Open recording six top-4 finishes
• Bonus point winners for the Wolves against the Tigers included Jason Henschel Jr. (TF 15-0), Braydon Mogle (maj 9-1), Wyatt Turnquist (TF 15-0), Devin Bahr (fall 0:47), Sam Kruger (TF 16-0), and Treyton Cacek (maj 11-2)
• The NWCA release their preseason rankings with Wolves ranked 11^th in the country
• Four wrestlers garnered national rankings including Turnquist (#1 – 149), Bahr (#7 – 157), Huss (#7 – 197), and Treyton Cacek (#12 – 184)

 
#15 AUGUSTANA STORYLINES

• Augustana will open their dual slate on Friday against the Wolves; they kicked off the year at the Yellow Jacket Open and DWU Open
• The Vikings sit 15^th in the NWCA Preseason team rankings with three individually ranked wrestlers
• Jaxson Roman is No. 1 at 125, Hunter Burnett is No. 9 at 141, and Cade Mueller is No. 9 at 184
• AU is led by head coach Jason Reitmeier in his 20^th season at the helm

#12 SOUTH DAKOTA STATE STORYLINES

• Tanner Jordan won the 125-pound class, while Bowen McConville finished as the runner-up at 285
