Crookston, Minn. – The Northern State University soccer team started the weekend off strong at Minnesota Crookston.
Calista Kocmick led the way for the Wolves with two goals in the 3-0 win.

- Megan Fastenau led an early attack for the Northern State offense with a goal in the first three minutes; assisted by Hannah Smith
- Calista Kockmick tallied her first goal of the season at the 8-minute mark; Lauren Youngquist notched her first assist of the season on the play
- The Wolves kept the pressure on in the second half as Kockmick tallied her second goal of the game; Fastenau racked up her first assist of the year on the play
- Fastenau had numerous opportunities at the net with three shots-on-goal, while Kockmick and Sophie Taylor followed with two apiece
- Northern State out-shot Minnesota Crookston 20-4 in total shots and 13-2 in shots-on-goal
- In addition, the Wolves held a wide lead over the Golden Eagles in corner kicks, 5-0
