FAN PRIMER | Wolves Set for Two Match Weekend

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University volleyball team welcomes the University of Mary and Minot State this Friday and Saturday to Wachs Arena. Match start times are set for 7 p.m. on Friday against the Marauders in non-conference action and 5 p.m. on Saturday versus the Beavers in NSIC play.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

  • The Wolves enter the weekend with a 13-4 record overall and 6-3 mark in the Northern Sun
  • Friday’s contest against the Marauders is a non-conference match
  • Northern is hitting .215 this season, averaging 12.6 kills, 11.7 assists, 17.4 digs, 2.2 blocks, and 1.6 aces per set
  • Natalia Szybinska leads the offense with 180 kills, averaging 3.05 per set, while Abby Brooks is hitting a team best .358
  • Keri Walker is nearing the 700 assist mark for the season, averaging 10.30 assists per set with 649 total

  • Bailee Brommenschenkel leads the offense with 92 kills, while Taylor Wyatt is hitting a team leading .244
  • Jaina Macaulay paces the offense with 291 total assists, averaging 4.93 per set
  • Kendal Braun leads the defensive effort with 224 total digs, averaging 3.70 per set, while Brommenschenkel leads the team at the net with 35.0 blocks
  • Minot State is led by head coach Alex Lehocky in her second season at the helm

Entrances to the Facility & Gate Opening Times

While the Barnett Center Has numerous entrances to the facility, fans should enter through the main north doors on game day. The ticket gate, located in the Barnett Center lobby, will open one hour prior to first serve for all general admission and same day ticket sales. Individuals included in the Northern State passbook must sign in via the far right line at the main gate.  There is no re-entry into the facility.

Parking

Parking for all home Northern State volleyball contests is free for all fans in the Barnett Center main lot. Please note that the Barnett Center lot is used as a paid tailgating lot during all Northern State football home contests. On dates where football and volleyball coincide free and paid parking will be clearly marked for all fans. 

Concessions

The Northern State concession stands are operated by Sodexo and offer a wide range of options for fans of all ages. Enjoy an ice-cold Coca-Cola product, bite into a soft pretzel with cheese, a world famous Wolf dog, or walking taco. Don’t forget to grab a freshly made popcorn or batch of Wisconsin cheese curds from one of the concession stands near you at all home Wolves athletic events. New in 2023 Northern State students can use their Thunder Bucks at all Sodexo concessions stands. 

Online Ticketing

Wolves Club season tickets and general admission passes can be purchased online at nsuwolves.universitytickets.com or at the gate on game day. The fully automated system allows fans to select their seat for game day with tickets sent directly to your email or mobile device. Pricing for season and single game tickets is available at nsuwolves.com/tickets. Senior and youth tickets are only available for purchase at the gate on game days. All game day ticket sales will be available at the main entrance to the Athletic & Recreation Fields for soccer.
