Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University softball split with Minnesota Crookston in Sunday NSIC action today. The Wolves tallied a come from behind win in game one, however were unable to replicate that same outcome in game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Northern tallied their 11 runs on 14 hits in the game one victory
- The Wolves jumped on the board first with two runs in the third and were then held scoreless through the fifth
- Liv Richardson tallied a 3-run homerun for NSU in the first, scoring both Kamdyn Barrientos and Shelby Novotny
- Minnesota Crookston answered back with two runs in the bottom of the first and took the lead with five runs in the bottom of the fourth
- Northern re-gained the lead in the top of the fifth with Barrientos, Novotny, Richardson, Elly Smith, and Avarie Eagle scoring in the inning
- The Golden Eagles tied the game in the following frame, however the Wolves were not done
- Eagle singled in Richardson in the sixth and Claire Zyblut and Jessi Hernandez scored on a single by Richardson in the seventh
- Crookston added two more runs in the bottom of the seventh, however it was not enough to tie the contest
- Meghan Anderson started for the Wolves, giving up seven runs (five earned) on six hits with four strikeouts
- Reagan Elrod entered in relief, earning her third win of the season; she threw 3.2 innings, giving up three earned runs on seven hits

- The Golden Eagles scored first in game two, notching three runs in the bottom of the second and one in the third
- Alexandria Arndt tallied the Wolves first run of the contest in the fourth on a solo homerun to center
- Crookston tacked on another score in the bottom of the frame and the Wolves added their final two runs in the fifth
- Richardson doubled in Novotny and Hernandez on a hit to center
- Northern out-hit Crookston in the contest, scoring their three runs on eight hits
- Abigail Rux suffered her fifth loss of the season throwing sixth innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on seven hits with three strikeouts
