Cole Huss Closes out the NCAA Championships in Fourth

St. Louis, Mo.Cole Huss finished his NCAA Championships competition as an All-American and the fourth place finisher at 197 pounds. Northern State tallied 16.0 team points over the two days, finishing in the top-25 of the country.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Huss went 3-2 overall in the tournament with his fourth place finish
  • He opened the day with a 6-3 decision loss to 3-seed Derek Blubaugh of Indianapolis in the semifinal round
  • The Gretna native then took on the 8-seed, Gino Sita of Alderson Broaddus, and notched a victory by fall with just seconds remaining in regulation
  • Huss advanced to the third place match, where he ultimately fell to 5-seed Nicholas Mason of Tiffin by fall at 6:34 in the match; prior to the pin Huss led 6-3
