Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State University wrestlers
Wyatt Turnquist,
Treyton Cacek, and
Cole Huss will kick-off the first NCAA National Championships of their careers tomorrow. Competition opens at 11 a.m. from Chaifetz Arena. Friday's second session will begin at 5 p.m., with Saturday's sessions kicking off at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. from the Arena.

WYATT TURNQUIST STORYLINES
- Turnquist opens the Championships with a 19-3 record on the year, including a team leading eight decision wins and five technical falls
- He finished third at the Super Region V Tournament in the 149 pound weight class
- Turnquist recorded ranked wins over No. 4 Speelman (AU) and No. 7 Bailey (UIndy) this season
- The Winner native will open the Championships versus top-seeded Isiah Royal of Newberry
- Royal holds a 10-0 record in 2021-22
TREYTON CACEK STORYLINES
- Cacek enters the week with a 9-6 record overall
- He finished third at the NCAA Super Region V Tournament in the 184 pound weight class
- The sophomore will open the Championships against Logan Hall of Notre Dame (OH)
- Hall is 16-5 overall in 2021-22
COLE HUSS STORYLINES
- The Wolves 197-pounder went 10-5 overall this season, including three victories by fall
- He recorded a ranked victory over No. 10 Kaylor of UMary and was the Super Region V Tournament runner-up
- Huss will open the Championships against Joel Leise of Gannon
- Leise earned the seventh seed with a 14-1 record in 2021-22
