Three Wolves Selected for NCAA Indoor Championships

Indianapolis - The NCAA released today the selected athletes for the Indoor Track and Field Championships scheduled for March 11-12 in Pittsburg, Kansas. Pittsburg State University will host from the Robert W. Plaster Center. Northern State University Wolves Shanice Burrell, Tanner Berg, and Glen Quayle qualified.
 
Berg will open the championships for Northern State in the weight throw at 2:25 p.m. on Friday, March 11. The graduate student holds the top mark in the NCAA heading into the week, a school record 22.58m toss. He is a 3-time NSIC Champion and 2-time All-American in the event.
 
Burrell will kick-off her championships weekend in 60m hurdles at 2:45 p.m. on Friday, March 11. The finals of the event are set for 5:10 p.m. the following day. She enters the weekend with the tenth fastest time in NCAA Division II, a school record mark of 8.58. Burrell finished as the NSIC runner-up this past weekend.
 
Quayle will make his championships debut at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 in the pole vault. The freshman holds the 13th best jump in the nation, a school record mark of 5.02m. He was crowned the NSIC Champion in the pole vault over the weekend.
