ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State's Cole Huss (wrestling) and Shanice Burrell (women's track & field) have been named as the South Dakota Army National Guard Athletes of the Week for their athletic efforts last week.
 
Huss went 2-0 for Northern State in their wins over #15 Upper Iowa and #17 Minnesota State. He pinned Bodie Garnier of UIU at 4:07 following a reversal to open the second period. The Gretna native notched his second fall of the weekend versus Dylan Butts at 4:58 in the match. Huss recorded 12 total points for the Wolves to lead the team and improved his season record to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in the NSIC.
 
Burrell ran a national provisional mark of 8.83 in the 60m hurdles at the Bison Open. She took second in the event as the top Division II placer. The senior added a third place finish in the 200m with a time of 26.47. She currently ranks 22nd nationally in the 60m hurdles.
