Fayette, Iowa – With six match victories, the No. 21 Northern State University wrestling team upset No. 15 Upper Iowa Friday evening. It was just the second win over the Peacocks in program history, both coming on UIU's home mat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Landen Fischer opened the dual for the Wolves with a big bonus point win over Colby Lopez, notching an 8-0 major decision
- Upper Iowa took the lead with a fall in the 133 pound bout, however the Wolves quickly bounced back
- Kolton Roth battled in a high scoring affair with No. 7 Tate Murdy, recording a 12-6 come from behind win
- No. 8 Wyatt Turnquist extended the Wolves lead in the 149 pound match, defeating Chance Throndson in an 11-2 major decision
- The Peacocks regained the dual lead with back-to-back decision wins at 157 and 165 pounds
- Kelby Hawkins took the lead for the Wolves, downing Colter Bye in an 8-4 decision, however Upper Iowa took the 15-14 lead in the following match
- Cole Huss broke things open for NSU in the 197 pound match, pinning Bodie Garnier at 4:07 in the second period
- Northern entered the final match of the evening, leading 20-15 and Ali'i Loyola sealed the upset
- The graduate student defeated Jordan Baumler in a 10-6 decision, giving NSU a 23-15 victory
