Aberdeen, S.D. – The No. 17 Northern State University wrestling team will compete at the 2022 Warren Williamson / Daktronics Open on Sunday in Brookings. Competition kicks off at 9 a.m. from the Stanley J Marshall Center.

#17 NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• The Wolves hit the mat last weekend at the DWU Open notching four top-6 finishes led by Tyson Lien
• Lien went 3-1 on the day, taking second overall at 174-pounds
• Landen Fischer and Brenden Salfrank took third and sixth at 125-pounds, while Teagan Block placed fourth at 133-pounds
• Carter Ban and Salfrank lead the team this season with seven and six wins respectively, followed by Marshall VanTassel and Ryan Hirschkorn with five apiece
• The Wolves are currently ranked No. 17 in the NWCA Poll with three individually ranked student-athletes in No. 3 Cole Huss (197), No. 6 Treyton Cacek (184), and No. 11 Turnquist (149)
