Wolves and No. 3 Golden Bears Face Off in NSIC Tournament Quarterfinals

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University volleyball team heads to St. Paul to face NSIC Tournament host No. 3 Concordia-St. Paul. The Wolves and Golden Bears will play the first match of the day beginning at 12 p.m. from the Gangelhoff Center.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
  • Northern State earned the seventh seed in the NSIC Tournament finishing the regular season with an 18-10 record overall and 13-7 mark in the Northern Sun
  • Three Wolves were honored on the NSIC All-Conference teams in Sally Gaul (1st), Taylor Buckley (2nd), and Keri Walker (2nd)
  • NSU is averaging 13.3 kills, 12.4 assists, 14.8 digs, 1.8 aces, and 2.2 blocks per set with a .255 attack percentage in 2022
  • In addition, the Wolves are holding their opponents to a .185 attack percentage
  • Sally Gaul leads the Northern State offense with 358 total kills, averaging 3.93 kills per set, hitting .267 on the year

NO. 3 CONCORDIA-ST. PAUL STORYLINES
  • Concordia-St. Paul closed out the regular season as the NSIC runner-up, notching a 24-4 record overall and 17-3 mark in the league
  • CSP landed six on the NSIC All-Conference teams including Katie Mattson (1st), Jasmine Mulvihil (1st), Emma Schmidt (1st), Teagan Starkey (1st), Sophia Andersen (2nd), and Kennedy Brady (2nd)
  • The Golden Bears are hitting .307 this season, averaging 14.7 kills, 14.0 assists, 14.5 digs, 2.0 aces, and 2.1 blocks per set
