Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State swim team returns to Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon as they host the University of Mary. The dual meet will start at 5 p.m. at the Aberdeen YMCA. When the Wolves host the Marauders they will honor six graduating seniors,
Lauren Forsyth,
Hannah Kiernan,
Delaney Ryken,
Kenna Smith,
Georgy Turner, and Mayson Sheldon.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
- Northern State enters the meet with a dual meet record of 6-6, and are 5-5 against NSIC opponents
- The Wolves went 2-4 at the USF Quad-Duals last weekend, defeating MSU Moorhead on Friday (130-83) and Saturday (116-61)
- Northern has recorded 20 individual wins, 44 individual top-3 finishes, and seven relay wins through six meets this season
- Lilly Grebner leads NSU with 11 individual wins, 11 individual top-3 finishes, and has been a part of five relay wins; Grebner has won all 11 individual events that she has competed in this season
- Grebner has broken three Northern State freshman records this season in the 100 yard IM (59.03), 200 yard IM (2:08.48), and 400 yard IM (4:36.97)
- Grebner ranks in the top-15 nationally in three events, ranking second in the 100 yard IM (59.03), 12th in the 200 yard IM (2:08.48),and 12th in the 400 yard IM (4:36.97)
- Grebner holds the top time in the NSIC in the 200 yard butterfly (2:09.85), 100 yard IM (59.03), 200 yard IM (2:08.48), 400 yard IM (4:36.97), and ranks within the top-10 in five other events
- Other swimmers to rank in the top-10 of the NSIC is Lauren Forsyth who ranks eighth in the 50 yard butterfly (27.69) and Maddie Gonzales who ranks tenth in the 200 yard backstroke (2:12.96)
- Haley Osborne is second on the team with four individual wins and five individual top-3 finishes, she recorded season-best times in the 100 yard freestyle (55.20) and 200 yard freestyle (2:02.57) at last week's USF Quad-Duals
- Gonzales has also earned two individual wins and five individual top-3 finishes, she swam to season-best times in the 100 yard backstroke (1:01.18) and 200 yard IM (2:21.25) at last week's USF Quad-Duals
- Other individual event winners for Northern State this season include Delaney Ryken (1), Mayson Sheldon (1), and Hannah Rodts (1)
UMARY STORYLINES
- UMary enters the meet with a dual meet record of 2-0, the Marauders defeated Jamestown twice this season by scores of 169-110 and 162-121
- The Marauders have recorded 18 individual wins, 46 individual top-3 finishes, and four relay wins through two meets
- Victoria Murillo leads UMary with five individual wins and five induvial top-3 finishes this season, while both Breena DeLegge and Rylie Webb each have four individual wins and four individual top-3 finishes
- Other UMary swimmers to win individual events include Jordn Wolsky (2), Breanna Lund (2), and Teresa Cavanaugh (1)
- Murillo ranks in the top-10 of the NSIC in four events, ranking fourth in the 200 yard freestyle (1:56.57), fourth in the 1,000 yard freestyle (10:49.52), fifth in the 500 yard freestyle (5:15.95), and tenth in the 50 yard freestyle (24.80)
- Other swimmers to rank in the top-10 of the NSIC include DeLegge who ranks second in the 50 yard butterfly (27.17) and Wolsky ranks sixth in the 50 yard butterfly (27.65)
LAST MATCH-UP
- UMary defeated Northern State 119-85 in dual meet competition at the Aberdeen YMCA on October 1, 2021, last season
- Mia Fursedonne was the lone event winner in last season's dual meet, winning the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.65
