Football Looks to North Division Play in Minot

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University football team travels to Minot State University this Saturday for NSIC North Division action. The Wolves and Beavers will kickoff at 2 p.m. in Minot's homecoming game.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
  • Northern travels to Beaver-land with a 3-3 record overall
  • The Wolves are averaging 23.3 points, 127.3 yards rushing, and 212.0 yards passing with 17 total touchdowns this season
  • The NSU defense has seven interceptions, 21 sacks, and his holding their opponents to conversion rates of 33.3 on third down and 16.7 on fourth
  • In addition, the defense leads the NSIC in scoring defense (17.3 ppg), rushing defense (62.0 ypg), and opponent fourth downs (1-6)
  • Stanley Haskins Jr. is the Wolves leading rusher with 193 total yards this season, averaging 4.4 yards per carry and 32.2 yards per game
  • Will Madler has taken over the reins of the offense, throwing for 887 total yards (147.8 ypg) and seven touchdowns with a 55.4 pass completion percentage
  • Ben Noland and Dominick Fiscelli are the leading receivers with 315 and 225 total yards respectively, combining for three touchdowns in 2022
  • Payton Eue sits atop the league with eight made field goals in 13 attempts this season and is averaging 39.6 yards per punt and 63.5 yards per kickoff
  • Brennan Kutterer jumped into the team defensive lead last week with 33 tackles, including 8.0 tackles for a loss
  • Ian Marshall has a team high 16.0 tackles for a loss, six of which are sacks, and sits fourth on the team with 21 tackles
  • Ar'shon Willis and Trevor Johnson each have two interceptions in 2022, with Johnson also adding a team best two fumble recoveries

  • Peyton Lamoureux and Nathan Young lead the receivers with 263 and 243 total yards this season, with one touchdown apiece
