The 2020-21 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Northern State junior Parker Fox was named to the District 7 team.
 
The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late May.
 
Fox will graduate from NSU this weekend with a bachelors in Sport Management, maintaining a 3.81 cumulative GPA. He averaged 22.3 points per game, as well as 9.9 rebounds per game. Fox shot 64.4% from the field and tallied 74 blocks, 49 assists, and 37 steals. He became a member of the Northern State 1,000 point club in 2021 and earned four NSIC North Division Player of the Week awards and one National Player of the Week honor. Fox was named to the NSIC/Sanford Health and NCAA Central Region All-Tournament teams.
 
Fox concludes his NSU career as the NSIC North Division Defensive Player of the Year, Player of the Year, and a first team all-conference honoree. In addition, he was named to the NABC and D2CCA All-America teams; the first men's basketball All-American since 2009.
 
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
