Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field teams travel to the Sioux City Relays tomorrow with competition beginning at 11 a.m. with the women's hammer throw.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• The Wolves are coming off a full weekend of competition from the SD Challenge in Vermillion
• Northern recorded 11 top-5 finishes from Rachel Guthmiller (javelin), Jordyn Huneke (pole vault), Tava Berg (high jump), Shona Juliana (triple jump), the women's 4x100m relay, Isabel Kinzer (400m H), Megan Pickering (5000m), Bryce Malsam (decathlon), Tanner Berg (hammer throw), Riccardo Done (3000m steeplechase), and the men's 4x400m relay
• NSU will have a smaller group in competition this weekend, participating in the pole vault, throws, and limited distance and sprint events

 
NATIONALLY RANKED WOLVES

• Shanice Burrell is 14th nationally in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.22
• Tava Berg is ranked tenth in the high jump with a 1.70m (5-07.00) provisional mark
• Jordyn Huneke ranks 18^th in the pole vault with a national provisional mark of 3.91m (12-10.00)
• Tanner Berg is ranked fourth in the hammer throw with a provisional mark of 65.83m (216-0.00) and 21^st in the shot put with a provisional mark of 16.95m (55-07.50)

 
SCHOOL RECORD WATCH

• Tanner Berg broke his own hammer throw record at the USD Early Bird Meet, throwing 65.83m (215-11.75); his previous record set in 2019 was 61.60m
• Jorydn Huneke broke Alli Arampatzis' pole vault record of 3.90m set in 2011, with a 3.91m (12-10.00) vault at the SD Challenge
