Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State University head coach
Saul Phillips announced the addition of Andrew Bergan to the Wolves men's basketball roster for the 2021-22 season today. He will join Trey Longstreet (Waverly, Minn.) and Jacksen Moni (Fargo, N.D.) in the fall.
"Andrew coming home to Aberdeen is very exciting for our program," explained Phillips. "There are not many players at our level that possess his combination of length, skill and size."

Andrew Bergan is a 6-foot-8, 195-pound forward out of Aberdeen Central High School. He was a 2-year starter and team captain for the Golden Eagles under the direction of head coach Brent Norberg. As a senior, Bergan averaged 10.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. He earned All-ESD honors in 2019-20 and the Golden Eagles finished as the South Dakota State Runner-up in 2017.
Phillips added, "His versatility gives Andrew potential to be a match up problem for our opponents. On top of that, he grew up watching the Wolves and has a true understanding for the tradition of Northern Basketball. I see a big upside in Andrew and look forward to helping him grow as a player."
Bergan spent the 2020-21 academic year as a member of the men's basketball team at the University of North Dakota. He is the son of Chad and Shannon Bergan and brother of current Wolves student-athlete
Cole Bergan.
