Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State's Kolton Roth (wrestling) and Dakota Hutzler (women's track and field) have been named the NSU Athletes of the Week for their athletic efforts last week versus Southwest Minnesota State and at the NDSU Bison Open. The NSU Athletes of the Week award is sponsored by the South Dakota Army National Guard.
 
Roth recorded the only bonus point victory for the Wolves in their dual win at SMSU. He pinned Justin Sampson at 3:55 in the match, bringing NSU within one of SMSU. Prior to the pin, Roth led by a score of 9-2. He currently ranks tenth in the nation with a 4-0 record, including three bonus point victories.
 
Hutzler placed third at the NDSU Multi with a school record 3,479 points in the pentathlon. She tallied marks of 9.36 (60, H), 1.60m (HJ), 10.12m (SP), 5.38m (LJ), and 2:29.04 (800m). The senior finished in the top-5 in four events, including a day high second in the high jump. Hutzler ranks tenth nationally in the event with a provisional mark.
