2/4/2021 10:28:00 AM

Aberdeen, S.D. - The Northern State women's basketball team (2-6, 1-5 NSIC North) will host the Marauders of UMary (2-6, 2-4 NSIC North) for the final home series of the 2021 regular season. Friday's game will tip-off at 7 p.m. with Saturday's game starting at 4 p.m. from Wachs Arena.

Note that only 300 general admission tickets will be available on a first come first serve basis for each game. Tickets will be available for purchase at the North Entrance to the Barnett Center, approximately 30 minutes prior to tip-off. Game programs are available at nsuwolves.com/gameday.

The Wolves come off two close road losses against undefeated Minnesota Duluth, dropping the first game 61-55 after conceding a fourth quarter lead and falling Saturday 67-64 as their fourth quarter comeback came up just short.

Junior forward Lexi Wadsworth led NSU in scoring in both games against the Bulldogs, dropping 15 points on 5-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc Friday night and 25 points Saturday night. Wadsworth also leads the team in scoring on the season, averaging 16.8 points per game, shooting 43.5% from the 3-point line.

Northern is 36-18 all-time against UMary, but dropped both games against the Marauders in the 2019-20 season by scores of 75-69 in Bismarck and 67-54 at Wachs Arena.

This will be the second-straight weekend on the road for the Marauders as they split the weekend series with Minnesota Crookston the previous week. The Marauders are led by senior guard Lauren Rotunda who leads the team in both points (15.3) and rebounds (7.8).

With a weekend sweep, NSU can improve to as high as fifth place in the NSIC North Division standings before the Wolves hit the road for the final two weeks of the regular season.
