Mankato, Minn. – The Northern State University women's track and field team tallied five all-conference performances from the NSIC Indoor Championships, as well as one conference crown. The Wolves took fifth overall with 44 team points.
 
NORTHERN STATE HIGHLIGHTS

• Dakota Hutzler opened the meet for the Wolves in the pentathlon finishing with marks of 9.42 in the 60m hurdles, 1.55m (5-01.00) in the high jump, 10.68m (35-00.50) in the shot put, 5.19m (17-00.50) in the long jump, and 2:32.91 in the 800m
• Hutzler took third in the event with a national provisional mark of 3,345 points, as an all-conference performer
• Isabel Kinzer ran to a sixth place finish in the 400m dash, crossing the line in 58.05
• Jordyn Huneke won the NSIC Championship in the pole vault, notching a 3.79m (12-05.25) vault
• Kenzee Danielson and Kealy Hill followed in third as all-conference performers, vaulting 3.49m (11-05.50), while Christine Nefgzer took fifth with the same mark
• The Northern State pole vault squad accounted for 25 team points
• Shona Juliana tallied an eighth place finish in the triple jump, recording a mark of 11.11m (36-05.50)
• Shanice Burrell ran to a third place finish in the 60m hurdles, earning all-conference accolades with a national provisional mark of 8.74
• Tava Berg took sixth in the high jump, clearing 1.64m (5-04.75)

"We had strong performances across the board. We fell short in a few areas, however we were able to secure fifth place. Very happy with how the team performed and we are excited for the outdoor season."
 
UP NEXT
With numerous Wolves notching national provisional and automatic qualifying marks, Northern State will compete next at the NCAA Indoor Championships. The Indoor Championship selections will be released on ncaa.com on Tuesday, March 2. The championships run March 11-13 at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama.
