HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a solid start to the night, Northern had to rely on its defensive presence in the second quarter, as the Wolves hit just two field goals in the second 10 minutes of action.
- That offensive slump allowed the Dragons to creep ahead by as many as four late in the half before Northern regained the lead at the break.
- MSU Moorhead gained the lead once more in the third quarter, but Northern quickly erased that deficit and pulled away in the second half.
- The 18-point victory is Northern's largest margin of victory over the Dragons since the 2014 season when the Wolves claimed a 60-39 (21 points) win in Moorhead on Dec. 20, 2014.
