Moorhead, Minn. – The Northern State women's swim team fell to MSU Moorhead by a score of 128-77 on Saturday afternoon. The Wolves recorded 11 individual top three placings over the course of the meet, highlighted by two first place finishes.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern State's relay team of Mia Fursedonne, Mayson Sheldon, Lauren Forsyth, and Connor Doran finished second in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 4:13.83
- Fanny Legros finished second in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:28.10, followed by Delaney Ryken in fourth with a time of 11:47.80
- Haley Osborne won two individual events on the day, starting with the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.84 and the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 55.35
- In the 50 yard freestyle, Connor Doran led the way for the Wolves placing third with a time of 26.28
- Maddie Gonzales finished second in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:21.62, followed closely behind by Brianna Back in third with a time of 2:21.79
- In the 100 yard butterfly Marialuisa Avila placed second with a time of 1:01.25
- In the 100 yard backstroke, Maddie Gonzales was the highest finishing NSU swimmer, finishing second with a time of 1:02.64
- Fanny Legros led the Wolves in the 500 yard freestyle, finishing third with a time of 5:38.67
- Mayson Sheldon finished second in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.58
- Northern State closed the meet with a second place finish in the 400 yard freestyle relay, as Haley Osborne, Marialuisa Avila, Connor Doran, and Mia Fursedonne finished with a time of 3:42.32
UP NEXT
Northern State will continue the early portion of their season on the road next week, as they will face the University of Jamestown in a dual in Jamestown, North Dakota. The meet is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. on Friday, October 15.
