The National Wrestling Coaches Association released the preseason team and individual rankings for 2021-22 earlier today. Northern State University is receiving votes in the team poll with two individual wrestlers nationally ranked.
Caden Moore leads the way for the Wolves sitting at No. 11 at 165 pounds, while
Kolton Roth holds down the No. 12 spot at 141 pounds. Moore went 6-4 in the shortened COVID year, finishing as the Super Region 5 runner-up. He advanced to the NCAA National Championships for the first time in his career. Roth also found success a year ago, going 7-2 overall with a second place finish at the NCAA Super Region 5 Tournament. The pair were each named to the NSIC All-Conference second team.
Northern State competes in arguably the most difficult conference and region in the country with eight of the ten teams either in the top-25 or receiving votes.
