Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State swim team will be back in action on Friday as they travel to face the University of Jamestown in a dual meet. The meet is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. at the Jamestown High School pool.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• Northern State enters Friday's meet with a dual record of 1-2 on the season
• Last Saturday the Wolves fell to MSU Moorhead by a score of 128-77
• Haley Osborne won two events in the dual against the Dragons, the 100 yard freestyle (55.35) and 200 yard freestyle (2:01.84)
• Maddie Gonzales came away from the dual with second place finishes in the 100 yard backstroke (1:02.64) and the 200 yard individual medley (2:21.62)
• Fanny Legros finished second with a time of 11:28.10 in the 1000 yard freestyle
• For the second consecutive meet Mayson Sheldon finished second in the 100 yard breaststroke, with a time of 1:11.58
• The 400 yard medley relay team of Mia Fursedonne, Mayson Sheldon, Lauren Forsyth, and Connor Doran placed second against MSU Moorhead with a time of 4:13.83
• In the 400 yard freestyle relay, Haley Osborne, Marialuisa Avila, Connor Doran, and Mia Fursedonne placed second with a time of 3:42.32
• Individually in the first two duals the Wolves have recorded three event wins and 23 top three finishes, while the relay teams have one event win and five top three finishes

JAMESTOWN STORYLINES

• The Jamestown swim program enters their inaugural season of competition in 2021-22, competing as a member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) in the NAIA
• The Jimmies roster consists of 16 athletes (14 swimmers and 2 divers), and includes 15 freshmen
• Alex Raasch was named the first head coach in program history on May 19, 2020, and utilized the 2020-21 season to recruit
