Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University women's basketball dominated the boards tonight picking up a win against St. Cloud State on senior night. NSU found a spark in the third quarter, putting together a 12-0 run.

- It was a battle in the second quarter as the Wolves and Huskies went back and forth
- In the second, Northern shot 52.9% from the floor and 33.3% from distance and held St. Cloud to shooting 37.5% from the field
- Coming out of the break, the Wolves hit a 3-pointer from Rianna Fillipi taking the 31-29 lead
- After forcing a SCSU turnover, Lexi Wadsworth extended the Wolves lead to 33-29
- NSU then went on a 12-0 run in the third that lasted 5-minutes, pushing their lead to 14 points over the Huskies
- Northern kept the game close throughout the final quarter of play, as they only trailed by 2-points with just under 4-minutes remaining
- Alayna Johnson put the Wolves back on top with 3:25 remaining after grabbing her own miss in the paint and putting it back for the score
- Midway through the fourth, the Wolves re-gained the lead and continued to hit big shots to close the door on the Huskies
- In the game, NSU shot 38.2% from the floor, 36.4% from distance, and 78.3% from the foul line
- The Northern bench contributed a season high 50 points in the win, as the team tallied 30 points in the paint, 20 points off turnovers, 19 second chance points, and six fast break points
- The Wolves out-rebounded the Huskies 37-26 and forced 17 turnovers
