Aberdeen, S.D. — Northern State University swimming heads to Bismarck this weekend taking on University of Mary. The dual is set to start at 1 p.m. from the BSC Aquatic & Fitness Center. NSU and UMary will compete in a pentathlon style dual Saturday.

ABOUT THE WOLVES

• The Wolves enter the weekend holding 0-8 overall record 
• Last weekend, the Wolves notched seven top-5 individual finishes and three top-5 relay finishes
• Maddie Gonzales led NSU, tallying two top-5 finishes and helping her relay squads to three more top-5 finishes 
• Delaney Ryken and Kenzie Matson rank second and third in the NSIC for the 1650 free with times of 19:24.08 and 19:56.59 respectively
• In the conference, Gonzales ranks tenth in the 50 back (28.47), seventh in the 100 back (1:00.62), and seventh in the 200 back (2:15.98)
• Mayson Sheldon is tenth in the league in the event 50 breast (32.44), ninth in the 100 breast (1:09.22), and tenth in the 200 breast (2:35.07)
• Lauren Forsyth is currently sitting fifth in the conference in the event 200 fly with a time of 2:16.24

 
ABOUT THE MARAUDERS

• UMary enters the weekend 3-1 overall, grabbing a win against Augie in Sioux Falls last weekend 88-79
• Last weekend, the Marauders tallied 20 top-5 finishes in individual and relay events
• University of Mary's Victoria Murillo tallied top finishes in four individual events in the 200 free (1:55.51), 200 back (2:24.81), 1000 free (10:40.63) and 100 free (53.46)
• The Marauders are led by Leah Neiheisel in her second season

 
LAST MEETING

• Before heading to Sioux Falls last week, UMary defeated NSU 120-85 from the Aberdeen YMCA
• Against UMary, Northern is 4-9 overall entering their third meeting in two weeks
• The Wolves put up 17 top-3 finishes and two event victories against the Marauders on Friday last week
• The event victory came in the 400 medley with a team of Gonzales, Mayson Sheldon, Lauren Forsyth and Connor Doran recording a time of 4:05.51
• The individual event victory came from Gonzales in the 100 back swimming to a time of 1:01.07
