Aberdeen, S.D. – The (RV) Northern State University wrestling team opens their home campaign tomorrow evening hosting No. 22 Wisconsin Parkside. Competition kicks off at 7 p.m. between the Wolves and the Rangers. The two teams will compete in a typical dual, with a number of additional matches following the ten team-scored matches.

• The Wolves opened the year with the program's first Division II victory over No. 20 Upper Iowa, downing the Peacocks 18-15
• Ty Althoff (Dec 8-6), Kolton Roth (Dec 8-7), Wyatt Turnquist (Fall 4:17), No. 10 James Burks (Dec 9-3), and Ali'i Loyola (TB-1 3-2) recorded wins for NSU
• In addition, Landen Fischer (Dec 9-4) and Chase Bloomquist (Dec 3-1) won the bouts during the extra matches section
• The dual was tied 15-15 heading into the heavyweight bout, with Loyola battling Jordan Baumler for the match and dual victory

 
#22 WISCONSIN PARKSIDE STORYLINES

• The Rangers opened the year at home, falling to Augustana 21-17
• Notching wins for UWP were Joe Arroyo, Lucas Schevikhoven, Shane Gantz, Reece Worachek, and Job Ayala
• Parkside is currently ranked No. 22 in the most recent NWCA Top-25 Poll
• The Rangers have two individually ranked wrestlers on the roster including No. 4 Joe Arroyo (125) and No. 11 Shane Gantz (165)
