Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State Athletics is set to host a men's basketball NCAA Selection Show viewing party this Sunday, March 8 from Wachs Arena. Doors to the arena will open at 9 p.m. with the show airing at 9:30 p.m. on the Wachs Arena video boards.
 
Fans are encouraged to attend to help celebrate the Wolves third straight NSIC Regular Season and Tournament Championships as well as the third straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Head Coach Saul Phillips will speak on behalf of the team.
 
In addition to the selection show, the team store will be open and will offer a special championship discount to celebrate the 3-peat of 20% off all Nike items. Fans will also be able to purchase official '3PEAT Conference Championship' t-shirts.
 
The Northern State men earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Central Region Tournament with their victory over Minnesota State on Tuesday evening. The Wolves are currently ranked fourth in the region and will learn their final seeding and first round opponent during the broadcast. The No. 1 seeds from all NCAA regions will be announced one hour prior to each show on the NCAA Division II Twitter and Facebook pages. The selection show link will be made live at NCAA.com prior to each show.
 
The NSIC, the Great American Conference (GAC) and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) make up the 42-team NCAA Central Region again this year. Automatic bids are granted to the winners of the NSIC, GAC and MIAA postseason tournaments, with the remaining five spots being awarded on an at-large basis.
