Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State University head coach Rocky Burkett announced today the addition of Cody Pinkerton to the 2020-21 wrestling roster.
 
A native of Douglas, Wyoming, Pinkerton will join fall signees Ty Althoff (Watertown, S.D.), Michael Bigler (Pacifica, Calif.), Treyton Cacek (Ruthven, Iowa), Eli Jansen (Springfield, Neb.), Caleb Lazure (Omaha, Neb.), Hayden Prater (Rochester, Ind.), Brenden Salfrank (Aberdeen, S.D.), and Sam Stroup (Watertown, S.D.).
 
Pinkerton is a 5-foot-11, 197/HWT wrestler out of Douglas High School. He is a 4-year starter and 3-year team captain for the Bearcats under the direction of head coach Bob Bath. Pinkerton is a 2-time state runner-up and a Wyoming State Championships. He is a 3-time all-state selection and the 2019 state team championship runner-up. He is the son of Shannon and Troy Pinkerton.
