2019 Fall semester brings continued academic success for Northern State student-athletes

Aberdeen, S.D. – Ten straight semesters. For the tenth semester in a row, the Northern State University student-athletes have recorded above a 3.30 semester GPA coming in at 3.30 in the fall of 2019.

"Our student-athletes continue to embrace the culture of academic excellence at NSU. We are proud of their efforts in the classroom and the coaches, faculty, and staff at NSU deserve a lot of credit as they are doing a lot to support our student-athletes each and every day." Noted Josh Moon, Director of Athletics.
 
The Northern State women's cross-country team and women's basketball team led the way with a 3.7 fall semester mark. The volleyball and softball teams followed with 3.6 and 3.5 semester GPAs, while women's indoor track and field was the final team above a 3.4 coming in at 3.5 respectively.

 
Women's indoor track and field recorded a 3.4, followed closely by wrestling and soccer with 3.2 marks each. Swimming and football each tallied 3.2 fall semester marks respectively, while men's basketball and baseball tallied marks of 3.2 and 3.0. Rounding out the pack is men's cross country and men's indoor track and field each recording a 3.0 GPA
 
The Wolves recorded a semester athletics GPA of 3.0 with 383 student-athletes helping to achieve yet another semester above a 3.0.
