Wolves Soccer Drops a Close Match to Mustangs

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State soccer team was unable to capitalize on their chances Friday night as they fell to the Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs. The Wolves fell behind at the 25-minute mark of the game and NSU was unable to answer back.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Northern had only two shots after 45 minutes of play, then found a little rhythm in the second half out-shooting the Mustangs 8-6
  • The Wolves had several open looks on goal in the second half, but were unable to put those attempts on the frame to level the game
  • NSU was kept to a season low, with four of shots on goal
  • The Wolves allowed a season high ten shots on goal, allowing the Mustangs to shoot 62.5 percent
